UCR NEWS

The USDOT has finalized fees and rules for the 2010 Unified Carrier Registration (UCR). Yesterday’s Federal Register included the final rule for 2010 UCR. Within a week, those carriers who participated in UCR in 2009 and those who have registered for a USDOT number in 2010, will be receiving an application from the Illinois Commerce Commission for the 2010 UCR.

The Illinois Commerce Commission will be sending a notice to previous UCR registrants, including an application form in a mailing due out early next week. The registration for 2010 will need to be completed and returned to the Illinois Commerce Commission by mid-July.

The fees will increase as IFB reported earlier. Non-powered units (trailers) will be dropped from the registration requirement. Details will be included in the application form.
