Farmer Stanley Educates Students

We created "Farmer Stanley" and are using him to educate our Adopted Classroom in the Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn.  We have adopted the 4th grade class at St. Germaine school in Oak Lawn.  Farmer Stanley goes with a different Fulton County Farm Bureau Board member each month and "helps" with the farmer's chores and work for a week.  We then send the pictures with a diary of what the farmer and his/her family did during that time.

Our Women's Committee received some grant funds from AFBF to purchase toy farm equipment for the class, so each month we send one or two appropriate pieces of equipment for the time of year!

So far Farmer Stanley has been with Board Vice President Lance Tarochione, President Randy Farr, and Director John Lascelles.  He even went to the State Capital with our group on March 25th to see our local lawmakers, as well as our Adopted Legislator Rep. Jim Brosnahan!
